Mini Carbon Farm

Building a working desert aquaculture system

Proof That It Works

This project is a small-scale demonstration system designed to prove that sustainable fish production is possible even under extreme desert conditions.

Below you see our first breeding tank. It will be a small tank with fresh water and ventilation to hold up to 12 female and up to 4 male Tilapia.

There will be rocks and things in the corners to provide shelter for the females and the baby fish. There will be a ventilation system so the fish are getting enough oxigen and can happily reproduce.

There will be a roof made of special transparent covers on top of this tank. We did not put it in the drawing otherwise one would not see the real thing.

We plan to install a web cam here so you will be able to see what is going on from this page.

The Idea

We are building a compact aquaculture setup with controlled water cycles, solar-powered systems, and temperature stabilization.

The goal is simple: demonstrate that at the end of the system, fish come out — reliably, efficiently, and sustainably.

Why It Matters

  • Food production in extreme climates
  • Efficient water reuse
  • Low-energy system design
  • Scalable concept for future farms

Support the Project

We are currently raising funds to build and test the first system.

€1,300 raised of €4,000 goal
